Hybrid: Norwegian Psychomotor Physiotherapy (NPMP)

Continuation Basic Certificate

NPMP (Norwegian Psychomotor Physiotherapy) is an evidence and experience based physiotherapeutic method and aims to increase the patients‘ body awareness, in order to broaden the patients‘ understanding of and attention to their habitual somatic and emotional patterns, such as bodily tension and restricted ways of breathing. It is a method based on the understanding of humans as being a somatic, emotional, and psychosocial unity.

NPMP is a suitable treatment for chronic and so-called unspecific pain, body tension, breathing problems, psychosomatic disorders, anxiety, depression, and fatigue.

Aim:

By learning NPMP, physiotherapists from all clinical fields can increase their professional skills by integrating psychosocial, emotional, and psychosomatic aspects into their clinical work.

Together 6 cases will be presented. Three of the online meetings are obligatory. (3x3 TU/á 45 min.), as well as at least one switch of teachters. 

Individual treatment session: 19.9.2025 (60 min.) 

Practical course: 20.-21.09.2025 (16 UE/TU à 45 min.)

Content:

In each meeting, one case will be presented by a participant, showing a video (not more than 30minutes, trial treatment or treatment session). Reflections, discussions based on the presented case, developing a deeper understanding of NPMP treatment. 

Practical course: 2 full days of group supervision and practical work, based on the participants' cases from clinical practice

Individual treatments with Kirsten Ekerholt and Målfrid Klingenberg will take place on Friday, 19 September. The fee will be paid/transferred directly to the teacher. The link to the appointment calendar will be sent to you after registration.
